About The Abai Center

The Abai Center in Washington, D.C., aims to support Kazakh culture and cultural studies and increase American people’ awareness and interest to the various aspects of the Kazakh culture. It will do so by organizing regular events, media reporting on culture-relevant events and supporting cultural studies of Kazakhstan. It will collaborate with the main Washingtonian institutions promoting culture such as the Smithsonian, to create new synergies in developing awareness of Kazakh culture in the U.S. capital.
